美國脫口秀天后歐普拉（Oprah Winfrey）曾在南加大（University of Sothern California, USC）傳播學院向畢業生致詞，期間她譴責假新聞流竄，鼓勵學生「忠於真相」、「成為真相」，並持續為希望奮戰。
