貨機緩緩駛進比利時列日機場的停機坪，貨櫃上頭還用簡體中文寫著「團結就是力量」。來自法國、比利時、荷蘭的政府代表，望眼欲穿地看著裡頭數百萬個中國製醫療用口罩。
誰也想不到，才過不到一星期，這些口罩就陸續傳出不合規定。出口到荷蘭的130萬個口罩中，近半數因為無法完好遮蓋臉部、過濾層有缺陷而被召回，讓中國政府在這場防疫外交戰中顏面無光。
幾乎在同一時間，台灣政府卻反而在防疫外交戰再下一城。4000英里外的美國華府，收到台灣捐贈的200萬片口罩後，美國國務卿蓬佩奧在推特上讚許台灣是「真朋友」，「台灣資訊透明、慷慨大方，足以成為全球各國的抗疫楷模，」他寫著。
