為促成台灣企業領導人與全球對話、提升商業人權與環境治理的意識以迎接國際環境的變化，國際社會企業 Work Better Innovations 和英國智庫 Institute for Human Rights and Business (IHRB) 將於今年 4 月 9 日台北合力舉辦【台灣企業全球論壇：人權和環境盡職調查】。
論壇聚集跨國企業領導人、國際企業人權專家和研究員，從企業經營面向探討在台供應鏈廠商的人權及環境治理，聚焦三大主題：
主題一: 落實企業尊重人權之責任: 台灣現況與挑戰
主題二: 台灣移工責任招聘與追求永續發展
主題三: 永續行動：台灣企業因應氣候變遷之策略
台灣身為東亞和東南亞地區排名第六、全球第二十一的經濟體，經濟、產業和勞動力都高度仰賴與國際接軌和移工，與此同時，企業與人權的討論近幾年也在台灣蓬勃發展。
我們期待透過論壇，能為台灣企業的人權和環境盡責調查 (Due Diligence) 提供創新的解方和機會。
Work Better Innovations , an international social enterprise working on innovations for a responsible economy, supported by the Institute for Human Rights and Business (IHRB) , will hold a one-day international business forum in Taiwan to discuss a range of human rights and sustainability due diligence in the supply chain of Taiwan.
The goal is to start building sustained momentum for corporate human rights and environmental due diligence in Taiwan, the sixth-largest economy in East and Southeast Asia and the twenty-first largest economies worldwide.
The Forum will convene international and local corporate leaders and practitioners for a one-day discussion on current global issues in corporate due diligence on human rights and the environment, along the three themes of:
* Panel 1: Operationalising Corporate Responsibility to Respect Human Rights in Taiwan
* Panel 2: Labour Migration to Taiwan: Leveraging Responsible Recruitment for Sustainable Development
* Panel 3: Sustainability in Action: Strategies for Taiwanese Enterprises in a Changing Climate
Taiwan’s economy and labor force are highly dependent on integration with the global economy. Through the forum, we look forward to generate a dynamic and innovative discussion for Taiwanese business enterprises on human rights and environmental due diligence, to improve the competitiveness of Taiwanese enterprises in the global economy.
